A Thought

Not sure how well you can read the font so I will re-hash....

A man and his every-nagging wife went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away. The undertaker told the husband, "You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here, in the Holy Land, for $150."

The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home. The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your wife home when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150?"

The man replied,"Long ago, a man died here, was buried here, and three days later, he rose from the dead. I just can't take that chance."

Now, Praise the Lord that He rose from the dead! If He had stayed dead, there would be no hope for salvation!

Though some people may speak about the Resurrection of Christ as not too big of a deal, always be excited about it!!!!! Christ arose!

Blessings

God is so good! He has been blessing me all week and all I can do is shake my head and love the fact that He cares enough about me to do so! Between providing school bill money to having a friend fill my gas tank unexpectedly to timely sermons, God has proven Himself to me over and over again this week. Thought you all would enjoy hearing that this week. Allow God to use you and work in your life and He will.

Classes!

Classes started today!!! It was very nice to get back into the flow of things again =) I have a lot of projects this semester, but I'm getting started on them now so that I don't stress myself out later in the semester (a very common habit of mine...). Anyway, things are going good out in southern Cali (the rain stopped too). Hope all are well!

It's Raining....

It's raining, it's pouring, the creatures are falling.... lol

It is raining out here in Lancaster and I am loving it! It doesn't happen very often so I am enduring the wet look while it lasts! (Don't worry - I've only tried slipping 2 or 3 times =) The shoes I'm wearing are pretty slick on the bottom!)
Have a great day everyone!

Funnies

Okay, so I'm going through my H drive on the school computers and coming up with a ton of stuff that I had saved and never posted, although I intended to. Hope you enjoy. Mostly they are funnies that I got as forwards and such.....
Marijuana-filled Firewood
'Hello, is this the Sheriff's Office?'
'Yes. What can I do for you?'
'I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Virgil Smith... He's hidin' marijuana inside his firewood! Don't quite know how he gets it inside them logs, but he's hidin' it there.'
'Thank you very much for the call sir.'
The next day, twelve Deputy Sheriffs descend on Virgil's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using azes, they burst open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and leave.
Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil's house.
'Hey, Virgil! This here's Floyd... Did the Sheriff come?'
'Yeah!'
'Did they chop your firewood?'
'Yep!'
Happy Birthday, buddy!'
(Rednecks know how to get'r done!!!)

A Godless Week
Without God our week would be:
Sinday, Mournday, Tearsday, Wasteday, Thirstday, Fightday, & Shatterday!

Hymns for Speeders
Now, for those who speed on the highway - a few hymns for you:
45 mph..........God Will Take Care of You
55 mph..........Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah
65 mph..........Nearer My God to Thee
75 mph..........Nearer Still Nearer
85 mph..........This World is Not My Home
95 mph..........Lord, I'm Coming Home
and over 100 mph..........Precious Memories

Star Wars Dining
Luke and Obi-Wan went out to eat in a Chinese restaurant one day. Obi-Wan is deftly manipulating his chopsticks with the ease you would expect from a Jedi Master.
Poor Luke, however, is having a hard time using his chop-sticks. He is trying to use the sticks with both hands, dropping his food all over the table and eventually, himself. Obi-Wan looked at Luke disapprovingly and says, "Use the forks, Luke."
Hope you all enjoyed!

I'm back in Cali!

Hey everyone! I am back to school... Sorry I didn't post much over the break! I went home to be with the family for about 2 1/2 weeks and I also got a facebook a couple weeks before school let out. It's official - I'd addicted =))
Anyway, home was normal - us kids sled (me and V, one and two times respectively and everyone else many times!), wrestled (sorryabout that chipped tooth V! lol), watched some movies (Fireproof is such a good movie and Up looked good from the first part I saw), cleaned house (always trying to be a blessing =) lol), and many other things.
It was so cute... the second to last night that I was at home, I had everyone except Veronica sleep in my room, all in my bed at one point of the night or another. My parents bought two bunk beds for Maria & I and Juan & Joey ( we are the kids that share rooms); the top bunk is a twin and the bottom is a double (hallelujah!!! for doubles!). It went Falicia, me, Joey - then Juan and Maria traded off on the last spot. Sleep was slightly different that night lol.
Anyway, I am back now and need to get off the computer. My friends next to me are going crazy and I need to get them out of the computer lab =)
Later!!
